I am really excited by this SURWEB training. I am convinced that using technology to teach concepts to children will reach more children. This seems to be a fairly simple way to create lessons. I have had a lot of experience with Corel Presentations, which I love to use, but it does take an awful lot of time. I can see practical applictions for SURWEB by itself and also as part of Presentations. I would love to see some kind of drop down menu on each page that could let you choose where to go next. It would be consistent with other applications that we use on the computer. This almost makes me wish I were in the classroom again. However, in my current position as an STS in Davis School District I can help encourage more teachers to utilize this resource. I would love to participate in more training sessions. It would be fun to just sit and create for a week or two with support from a trainer. Thanks Cody!

I loved the training done by Cody today at the ETC in Davis County. He is an excellent presentor. He makes it fun and exciting to use your site. This site has many possibilities.
I am a School Technology Specialist working at three elementary schools. I work with teachers who are very busy. This site will be a huge help for my teachers. We tried to teach some of them to do Presentations, but it takes too long to write a Presentation. I can teach them to do a show with your site. It may not be as fancy as Presentations, but it is so much faster. They will use this because it is fast. They will also be happy to be able to access it from home to prepare a slide show for the next day. They don't have to save it to disk or transport it anywhere, it is already there and ready for them the next day at school. There are no licenses and programs to worrry about.
I only have one suggestion. On your home page, you could tell people what SURWEB stands for. I was clueless till I asked. I find in our society, we use a lot of terms without explaining them to people. What do those letters stand for.
I was a fourth grade teacher before I became an STS. I would have used this site all year long. I will promote it to all the teachers at my schools. This is a tool they can use to find valuable resources so quickly.
Thank you for providing this resource for teachers and others who are lucky enough to know about it. As a teacher, I wanted to create, but didn't have time. I was grateful when I found sites where others had already done the work for me. This site lets me be creative if I have time, but if not, I can use the auto features to get what I need quickly.

Excellent new look. It will be fun to see the other areas develop. I'll keep checking in to see "what's new". When the 4th graders did their County reports, this was their favorite place to visit and get information on their counties. I'm the Computer Lab administrator/computer teacher.

I really enjoyed the training Cody provided teachers from my district on March 15, 2000. I have been to many training sessions on using technology in the classroom; but never one as easy and exciting to use by teachers. I'm very impressed with the potential this provides and would love to have it presented throughout my school to teachers and students. Great job Cody, Mr Internet Evangelist.

As Cody said, this is the next best thing to sliced bread. Trying to get all the teachers on line with PowerPoint or HyperStudio takes alot of training. SurWeb will have almost everyone a pro before long. Thanks for the great training and sharing your enthusiasm.

I am just a mom, trying to help a 4th grader with a big project, but your site is fantastic. I have spent hours pouring over many of the slides and saw many more collections that I want to come back and examine in more detail. I really want to thank you for putting all this information in one handy site. I am bookmarking this site immediately and I am sure I will be back many more times as school projects come and go!

The calendar wallpapers are GREAT!! We just built a home in St George but can't move there for another 5 years. So these backgrounds are a great way to vicariously visit our new home!!
I hope you'll continue with the calendars for 2002 as well.
